The Impact of Loud Noises During Pregnancy: A Biological Threat to the Baby

Within the framework of Germanic New Medicine (GNM), every illness originates from a biological conflict experienced in a dramatic, unexpected way, in isolation, and without an immediate solution. One of the most significant conflicts during pregnancy is the threat to the territory, especially when it manifests through sensory memories such as noise.

Babies in gestation actively perceive their environment through the senses, and among them, hearing plays a fundamental role. The perception of a loud, invasive, and continuous sound can be interpreted by the fetus’s organism as a direct threat to its existence—such as an attacker or a wild animal. This type of overstress, when prolonged over time, can trigger specific biological programs in an attempt to adapt to a situation perceived as dangerous. Particularly when it involves sudden, penetrating, or constant noises such as those from a construction site (above 110 decibels), the archaic brain will always interpret it as a territorial threat conflict or even as a real attack conflict.

Below, we share a testimony that movingly illustrates this phenomenon:

“We were trying to record a video to wrap up the year. I have a construction site next door. I don’t know if you can hear it. I mean, I don’t know if you can hear it enough to pretend it’s not there. It’s clearly audible. I’ve been living with this for a year, guys. My ordeal doesn’t end.”

This testimony is not merely a complaint. It is the real expression of a woman who lived throughout her pregnancy exposed to the constant noise of construction work. During that period, the baby in gestation was immersed in a threatening auditory environment. Five months later, sadly, that pregnancy ended in a loss.

In terms of GNM, this type of environment can be interpreted by the fetus as a situation of total lack of protection, non-belonging, or constant threat. Depending on the organ or system in development and the stage of pregnancy at which the conflict occurs, different tissues may be affected during embryonic development. For example, it may generate issues in development or a conflict of “uprootedness” (kidney collecting tubules), “fear of death” (pulmonary alveoli), or “territorial threat” (bronchi, larynx), among others.

It is important to understand that this is not about blame, but about awareness. The baby’s sensory environment is an essential part of its perception of safety. If adults are not aware of this, we may unintentionally create conditions that generate very deep biological conflicts, even from the womb.

This testimony and its context are a call to look more deeply at the conditions in which babies are conceived and develop. Intrauterine life is not a neutral space: it is the first territory a human being inhabits. If that territory is filled with noise, threat, conflict, and stress, the first major biological defense learnings will be programmed—and if this occurs during intrauterine life, the baby could even die from fatigue, or a spontaneous abortion could occur if the baby is highly conflicted.

We recommend the Professional Training in GNM – Biological Consultant to everyone, in order to learn how to identify possible conflicts in our environment and take action.
